Alla Novikova

 

At the age of 6 Alla saw a professional couple performing Tango on television and she became passionate about ballroom dancing. Soon after that one of the top dancers invited Alla to be his dance partner. It happened after he saw Alla performing a Cinderella role in her school. Alla started competing and in a short period of time she won many regional dance competitions in her native Russia. Her passion to dancing was so immense that Alla, at age 12, started helping her coaches in teaching young kids. At the age of 20 Alla retired from being an Amateur dancer and became the youngest dance adjudicator in the region where she lived.

She married Alexander Novikov in 2006 and moved with him to the USA to continue professional dance career. They had their first child Daniel in 2007 and then Alla and Alex started competing as professional dancers and won several Titles at prestigious dancesport competitions. Just 2 years after coming to America Alla and her husband opened Edelweiss Premier Ballroom that became the most successful dance school in California for the past years. Many times Alla won Top Teacher Awards at various competitions and in 2015 was ranked #1 Top Female Teacher in CA.

She teaches with such a joy and passion that reflects on her students one of whom is her son Daniel Novikov. Alla wants to show America that ballroom dancing is the healthiest sport out of all and she wants to inspire all families to do dancing for fun and sport! She believes that it can be the best activity for the whole family!
